Milestones

MILESTONES. I have always been fascinated by obituaries. The first place I go in Time Magazine. Not for obvious reasons though, mostly because I want to see who I missed. People who led interesting lives and I never had a chance to know them. Wish I had. I try to meet people who are interesting. Makes my life more interesting. Joan Sutherland 83, a great soprano; Philippa Foot 90, a thoughtful moral philosopher.

Enjoying your process as always. The obits certainly bring cause to wonder about our connection to the eternal. What action or brilliant thought takes us out of the mundane and into the infinite? Is our only sustainable connection to the eternal the surrender of our will and lives to higher power or is it more to do with leading others to…perhaps their higher power? Or it could be helping them to glimpse their higher selves through what we do and become in our life. Look at you oh, faithful traveler! You are the harbinger of hope’s deep spring. I wish you health, safety and God’s hand on your wheel.

Oh and I once spent 7 hours on an airplane with Peggy Cass.
